Bamboo – Dovan -Himalaya (2145m-2505m-2920m)
I got scared by yesterday’s rain because I was worried about encountering rain again on the way. We left early at 6 a.m., and our breakfast was boiled eggs from the previous night’s dinner. We walked on many small bridges on the way, and the stones eroded by the stream were very smooth under the bridges, revealing the natural patterns of the stones. Although I took photos, they couldn’t capture the beauty I saw with my own eyes.
We could see the fishtail peaks intermittently on the way. Walking through bamboo forests was also very comfortable. During a break, when taking a photo of the fishtail peak, a porter rested with us. We secretly included him in the background. There is a dog climbing with us and It ran back and forth in front and behind our group, occasionally darting into the grass to chase insects, adding a touch of humor to our journey.

When we arrived at Dovan after two hours, we felt regretful that we couldn’t stay here yesterday. The overall quality is a notch higher, and the scenery is even more beautiful! It’s like falling asleep while gazing at the fishtail peak~~~ Hehe! It’s okay that we didn’t stay on the way there; we must stay here for a day on the way back!
We took a short break , had a warm cup of milk tea, and resumed our journey at 8:30! When we saw the road decorated with prayer flags and walked a bit further, we reached 108 Chahara. This is a Hindu temple, and many stones are piled up by people near the temple! The quantity is astonishing, and we also followed the custom and stacked a few. Behind the temple, there is a large waterfall that is quite spectacular. Looking down along this waterfall, you can see the greenish melting snow river. There is a moment that I thought I had arrived at Taroko Gorge in Hualien….

We arrived at Himalaya at 11:15! We chose to stay directly at the first Himalaya Hotel and Restaurant for a simple reason – they have an excellent hand drip coffee machine! Even before entering, we could already smell the fragrant aroma of coffee. Of course, it’s considered the best among the three in this village! The beds in the other two places felt old with bunk bed arrangements.
As expected, it started hailing right on time at 12:00 . We watched the owner hurriedly covering the tables with canvas, and we hid in the restaurant, observing the hailstones outside, hearing the crisp sound as they hit the tin roof. The mountain trekkers passing by outside had to take a break due to the hail. Inside the restaurant, enjoying hot coffee and milk tea, I felt so happy. At night, as we went to sleep, the bedding provided was not sufficient while th sleeping bags is needed.
